Where It Began
I have always felt that life is like a giant blind box. Before you open it, you never know whether it holds a surprise or a challenge.
Before I became an engineer, I was a dancer, and I also played the guzheng. Stage lights, music, and applause used to be the rhythm of my life. Later, I crossed into technology, from dancing to writing code. It sounds cool, but the reality was much harsher: I walked from a glowing stage into a cold machine world, and I fell hard in the middle.
What followed was a long low point. It was not only the career shift. The occasional loss of memory made the perfectionist, achievement-driven part of me become harsher and harsher toward myself. Anxiety and insomnia moved into my life, and everything around me seemed to lose its color.
During that time, two things stayed with me: crystals, and my cat, Susu. Crystals do not speak, but they felt like silent witnesses, quietly remaining there. Susu used her round face and purring to remind me, "Hey, someone — or at least one cat — is still waiting for you to smile again."
People say that even when you are broken, with pieces scattered everywhere, the people who love you will pick those pieces up one by one and carefully help put you back together. But the person who should love you most is still yourself. Other people's love can support you, but your own inner drive is what truly lets the pieces grow back together. Every moment holds a limited-edition version of you. Slowly, I learned to reconcile with myself, accept imperfection, try different things, and accept the experience that failure brings. Even the version of me barely above the passing line still has the right to receive love and joy.
That is why I created this brand.
When you open a package from SUSU, I hope what you receive is not only the joy of unboxing, but also a small encouragement: the version of you trying to piece yourself together is already doing something brave. Susu became the brand mascot not only because she is cute — though she truly is — but because she represents witness and companionship. She may not be able to solve the problem in front of you, but she is willing to become an anchor in your inner world. Whenever you look back, SUSU is behind you, walking with you step by step toward your own bright life.
Where the Name Comes From
SUSU comes from the real Selkirk Rex cat named Susu. She is the beginning of the brand, and the living form of everything the brand wants to express: quiet companionship, always beside you, always there when you turn back.
